Appolonia City marked this year’s International Day of the Girl Child together with female students from Appolonia Kpong Katamanso District Assembly (KKMA) Junior High School. Appolonia City was represented by a high-level delegation of professional women with experience in various fields ranging from engineering, surveying, customer services, sales, telemarketing, and administration.
The event began with an empowering career counselling session where women from Appolonia City shared their journeys, including how they overcame challenges and seized opportunities.
The session was followed by a conversation on menstrual hygiene and body positivity. The delegation emphasised self-care and confidence, sharing practical tips on hygiene and encouraging the students to embrace what they are made of.

Stephen Jennings visits Appolonia City
The CEO of Rendeavour, Stephen Jennings arrived in Ghana on October 28th for a three-day visit to Appolonia City. He came to witness the progress that is being chalked in Rendeavour’s fastest growing city in Ghana.
While in Ghana, Stephen Jennings, accompanied by the Country Head of Appolonia City, Perminas Marisi, embarked on a site tour, where he meticulously inspected the various projects currently underway in the city and gave suggestions on ways to improve them even further. He expressed his excitement at the completion of the Oxford perimeter wall and the improved landscaping within the city and assured the team of his full support to bring more infrastructure to the city expeditiously in 2025.
According to the city’s team, 2025 would be a year of massive infrastructure and landscaping and would see the establishment of Appolonia City’s first plant and tree nursery.
Appolonia City partners C&J Medicare to organize breast cancer screening
Appolonia City in partnership with C&J Medicare hosted a two-day free breast cancer screening exercise for the members of the Appolonia town, residents and staff of Appolonia City.
The first edition of the screening exercises happened on 24 October at the Appolonia Kpong Katamanso Municipal Assembly Junior High School for the members of the Appolonia Town as well as the girls at the school. Members of the Appolonia town turned out to learn more about breast cancer, its effects and prevention.
Dr. Benjamin Tuffour led the educational session with the attendees, emphasizing the importance of early detection and how it leads to the saving of lives. The educational session was followed by the breast screening.
On 25 October, the second edition of the breast screening took place at the C&J Medicare centre located at Adumuah Place in Appolonia City for the staff and residents of Appolonia City.
